Twin Lakes Campground, operated by the County of Wetaskiwin, features two lakes ideal for water sports like kayaking and scuba diving. Winfield PNT is under lease to the county and is part of the campground.

Two for One Deal! Twin Lakes Campground is run by the County of Wetaskiwin [1]. The Twin in the name comes from there being two lakes nearby. Both the Winfield PNT and the land between and East of the lakes are Crown Land. The County of Wetaskiwin has a Tourism and Commercial Development Lease that overlaps with the Winfield PNT as well as the two quarter sections to the east (see map in the gallery).
Nice Campground. Starting with the forested road down to the lake, the campground is very pretty. The lake is popular for self-propelled water sports ranging from rubber dinghies, stand up boards, and SCUBA diving! If you can get a spot, a great place to get away for a few days – or as a day trip destination.
Twin Lake refers to the West and East bodies of water separated by less than 700 M. The West Twin lake is 35 m deep and the sides are steep, particularly along the south shore. It is a popular scuba diving and canoeing spot. The surface area of the lake is 0.24 km2 and is oval. No motorized boats are allowed. The main catch is rainbow trout. East Twin is shallow [3].
Disappearance Mystery. A poignant memorial asks for help finding Sharel Haresym. This young man disappeared without a trace and has been missing since 1984. Born in 1949, he would now be in his 70’s if still alive.
