A reconnaissance trip is planned for the Northwest of Bruderheim Natural Area on May 5, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM at Lily’s Steak & Pizza. Participants will survey the area to identify suitable hiking spots for a future trip. This is in support of the main field trip on May 9, 2026.

En route to Bonnyville, Alberta, I visited a few oversized attractions like the world’s largest Mallard Duck in Andrew. Cultural heritage, local landmarks such as the Dickie Bush Russian Orthodox Church, showcased Alberta’s unique sand rich history.
