Magee Lake, named after an early settler [1], lies within the Chain Lakes. Nearby Morningside, once home to a mental hospital, now has limited facilities. The area is ideal for a half day walk, botany, bugs, fungus, and dog walking, with options for snowshoeing.

A reasonably undisturbed natural area which is best described as ‘wet’. Best visited in late fall or in winter when the southern portion is accessible.

One Natural Area divided into three smaller pieces. The larger southern portion has an extensive trail system and is relatively undisturbed.

Enveloping the northern portion of Battle Lake, the mount lives up to its name with a pleasant view of the lake. ATV trails seem to be mostly respectful with limited destruction.
