The Threepoint Creek Natural Area, south of Calgary, has limited disturbances. Accessible paths lead to a beaver dam and the Sheep River, though flooding restricts some routes. The area features braided trails suitable for various outdoor activities but lacks amenities.

JJ Collett NA – 2024-08-24
The J.J. Collett Natural Area offers a kid-friendly environment with well-maintained trails and boardwalks. The area is accessible all year, and is located near Lacombe and Ponoka, but only walking is allowed. The area features excellent signage and a poignant memorial.

Magee Lake, named after an early settler [1], lies within the Chain Lakes. Nearby Morningside, once home to a mental hospital, now has limited facilities. The area is ideal for a half day walk, botany, bugs, fungus, and dog walking, with options for snowshoeing.
